Product Introduction

Disposable Blood Filter issterile and disposable. The spike of Blood Filter connects with blood bag at upper ends, and the cone joint connects with the needle with infusion line at lower ends. The aperture of screen filter are 20μm and 40μm. Transfusion blood with regular gravity on the bag into the filter chamber, through the filter and transfuse to patient.

The roller clamp with the drip chamber and close it while turning it upside down.

Insert the spike of the device in the bag outlet connector.

Open the roller clamp; with regular pressure on the bag slowly fill the filter chamber and 2/3 of the drip chamber with blood. Close the roller clamp.

Hang up the bag and bleed the air from the drip chamber line before connecting the device to the patient.

Use the roller clamp to adjust to the desired drip rate.

To change blood bag, close the roller clamp, so that the Filter remains filled.

WARNING: If the Disposable Blood Filter body empties out, the device is no longer usable.

Precaution

If transfusion is performed with pressurized devices:

Do not exceed 400mmHg

Be extremely careful not to infuse “air” as there is a risk of “gaseous embolism”.

The device has been tested to allow transfusion of several units of whole blood and/or blood products.

Nevertheless, the quantity of microaggregates and macroaggregates to be removed is extremely variable and may be such as to stop transfusion even during the first unit of blood and/or blood product processed. Replace the device in the event that transfusion slows down/stops.
