Disposable Polypectomy Snare

The Disposable polypectomy snare is sterilized by EO. Do not re-sterilize. Rotate 360⁰ - 2 directions. The cutting wire with a diameter of 0.24 mm.

2. Check the cable to be connected with the connector in the handle, the cable should not be twisted, bend, damaged or exposed to ensure active power supply. If there is any abnormality, the cable should not be used.

3. Fully retract and extend the snare to verify the device works normally. Repeat the retraction and extension of the snare to check if the max. loop can meets the requirements of the operation.

4. Set the high-frequency generator off before test connection is made between device and generator equipment. Connect the cable to the connector in the handle and high-frequency generator. Follow the high-frequency manufacturer's instruction, place the patient circuit electrode properly before connecting the high-frequency generator and the device.

5. Found the location of the polyps and target it with the endoscope, fully retracted the loop into the sheath before inserting the snare into the endoscopic working channel until the distal end of the device exits tip of the endoscope.

WARNING: To ensure patient safety, high frequency generator must be disconnected until the loop is fully positioned around the Disposable polypectomy snare.

6. Put the thumb into thumb ring, insert index finger and middle finger into the slider then push until the snare loop fully extends out the sheath, and locate the loop around the polyp to be removed. In order to successfully capture polyps, make sure the plane of loop is perpendicular to the polyp pedicle; if not in perpendicular direction, press the rotating sleeve to adjust the angle of the loop plane until it is vertical.

WARNING: To ensure patient safety, the power to the high frequency generator should be disconnected until the loop is fully locate around the Disposable polypectomy snare.

7. Power on the equipment according to the instructions of the high frequency generator manufacturer.

Remarks: The maximum input power rate of this device is: 45W in cutting mode and 45W in blood coagulation mode.

8. Perform the polypectomy.

9. Make sure the high-frequency generator is set OFF before withdrawing the snare from the endoscope after polypectomy operation.

10. Collect polyps, prepare or dispose of samples according to the hospital's disposal method.

11. After the operation, pull out the cable wire from the electrode connector and dispose of the device according to the instructions of the hospital's biohazardous medical waste products. Remove the cable from the high-frequency generator and wipe off foreign matter on the cable with a damp cloth. Store loosely and coiled.
