Introduction of Single-Use ESD Knife

Specifically made to be used with a flexible endoscope, the Single-Use ESD Knife is a instrument that is revolutionising tissue cutting in the digestive system. This disposable knife uses high-frequency current to guarantee accuracy and effectiveness during endoscopic treatments.

Components

Disposable Electrosurgical Knife (hereinafter referred to as ESD electric scalpel) is composed of inset portion and handle portion. The inset portion consists of cutter body, isolation head(O type with isolation head, L type without isolation head), traction wire, sheath; the handle portion consists of sheath sleeve, locking sleeve, rotating sleeve, electrode connector, slider, thumb ring. The basic structure diagram as shown in below:

Advantages of Single-Use ESD Knife

* The advantages of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) Knife include the ability to control resection size and shape and permit en bloc resection of large and ulcerated lesions. However, even with ESD, endoscopic treatment is challenging for post-EMR recurrence of colorectal tumors because of severe fibrosis.

* The single use ESD knife is fully rotatable with an insulated outer surface such that only the surfaces between the jaws have cutting and coagulation effects.

* The Disposable ESD knife was also used for sealing and ligating visible vessels by using a soft coagulation current. Small bleeding vessels were also successfully treated under a soft coagulation current.
